Alice Chin
Alice W. Chin is the founder and CEO of Your Other Half, a consultative recruiting and HR firm focused on small business needs. A fourth-generation entrepreneur, Alice spent her childhood afternoons at her father’s restaurant or mother’s tutoring business, which ignited her passion to improve the success rate of small businesses. She launched Your Other Half to serve small businesses in 2014, specifically partnering with founders to create happy, profit-generating teams. Alice developed Your Other Half’s interdisciplinary, people-centric approach to small business growth, informed by studies at Barnard, years working corporate HR at Newsweek and Allen & Overy, and consulting in small business operations at companies like IDEO and Institute of Play.
She loves creating jobs and leading the fantastic team of people experts at Your Other Half. A firm believer in the importance of civic and community service, Alice co-founded the Barnard Alumnae Mastermind Program and the 20 People Networking Group, served as a member of the Alumnae Association of Barnard College’s Professional Leadership and Development Committee (PLDC), mentored entrepreneurs at NYU’s Game Center Incubator and NUMA, and served as a mentor for female veterans in the American Corporate Partners Program. Alice currently serves on the Alumnae Association of Barnard College’s Alumnae of Color Dinner Committee, as well as the PLDC sub-committee BEnet (Barnard Entrepreneurs Network).
